YUMMY.
1/2c butter
2 1/2c flour
1Tbsp baking powder
1tsp salt
1c and 2Tbsp of cold buttermilk
I usually don't have buttermilk on hand. I substitute buttermilk with one cup of milk and one tsp of vinegar. Someone once asked me if this was soured milk. It might be but it works as a substitute. The other morning on Good Morning America there was a chef who suggested this same substitute. Any who. Mix the butter and flour, baking powder, and salt like a pie crust. I usually do it by hand. Then add milk and work the dough until it comes together. Then roll out and about and inch thick and place on a cookie sheet. Brush the biscuits with butter and cook on a 450 degree oven for 15 minutes.
